President /Co-Founder

Dan Corfee is the president and founder of Preferred Capital Advisors. Dan assists the PCA team with management oversight, training, analytical support and strategy formation. Dan’s primary emphasis both personally and for the company is to be of service to the client. Dan is also the managing partner and founder of Oak Capital Partners (OCP I, II ,III & IV), four private real estate equity investment entities focused on generating returns for its investors through direct investment with best in class operators.

Director / Co-Founder

Since co-founding Preferred Capital Advisors, Craig Zarro has closed over $4.0B in real estate transactions. Working primarily on the debt side, Craig has extensive knowledge in structuring permanent, construction and interim loans working directly with all sources of capital including Banks, Life Insurance Companies and Private Capital. Craig also serves as a valued member of Oak Capital Partners I, II, III, & IV four separate private discretionary equity funds focused specifically on real estate investing.

Principal / Director

With nearly 30 years of commercial real estate finance experience, Matt has closed over $7.0B in commercial real estate structured debt placements. He is a specialist in debt arrangement and sources construction, interim, and permanent loans. Matt's capital sources are typically banks, life companies, CMBS, debt funds and agencies. Matt serves as a primary advisory to several developers and investors located in the Western U.S. They rely on his experience and effective process from doing a high volume in the marketplace.

Principal

Ron Peters joined Preferred Capital Advisors in 2009, became a principal partner with the firm in 2013 and heads up the firm’s multifamily lending platform. Ron is one of the top multifamily loan advisors in the Western United States and with over twenty years’ experience has originated more than $4 billion in multifamily mortgages.

Principal

Tim Meier joined Preferred Capital Advisors in 2009 as a Principal overseeing the Southern California region. His core competency around structured finance and joint venture equity and advisory, complements his additional experience on permanent, construction, bridge and mezzanine debt.

Senior Vice President

Andrew is a commercial real estate capital markets advisor focused on structuring debt and equity for industrial, multifamily, and mixed-use transactions across the Western United States. His past experience included arranging financing with banks, life companies, CMBS lenders, debt funds, and private capital partners. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and brings a disciplined, relationship-driven approach to complex real estate financings.

Vice President

Since joining Preferred Capital Advisors in 2017, Joe has been involved in more than 300 closed transactions totaling over $3.5 billion in debt placements. His experience spans office, multifamily, retail, industrial, and hospitality assets, across construction, bridge, and permanent financing structures. He has also supported equity placements and joint venture transactions.

Senior Associate

Since joining Preferred Capital Advisors in 2023, Ben has been involved in over $3.1B of transaction volume. Ben earned a degree in Managerial Economics from UC Davis, where he was a scholarship athlete on the men’s golf team.

Frank is a Sacramento native with a storied history in the Sacramento real estate world. While working towards his MBA, Frank was at Buzz Oates where he worked on all facets of real estate development including entitlement, permitting, construction and asset management. Eager to grow and diversify his real estate acumen, Frank joined Preferred Capital Partners in 2025 to support the teams growth as debt and equity formation specialists.
